Diane Montgomery

Diane is a heart-centered teacher who recognizes the uniqueness and wholeness of each person. She believes that whole health must be addressed on the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual levels, and yoga in its purest and most complete form addresses all of these aspects. Like honest-to-goodness whole food, yoga is true nourishment for body and soul. The yoga mat is a safe place to notice and accept where you are and discover that a world of possibilities awaits you.

Devoted to her gym routine for over 30 years, Diane was immediately attracted to the physical intensity of hot power yoga when first introduced in 2008. Her true passion for the practice developed three years later, after a one-year hiatus due to a challenging illness. Physically weakened, she returned to her mat at the encouragement of her doctors. She learned to connect more fully with her breath as she healed and began discovering the deeper benefits of yoga that go far beyond the poses.

Diane received her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification through bCalm Power Yoga, a course rooted in the Baptiste Methodology. She caught the fever to train after twice completing Baron Baptiste’s 40 Days to Personal Revolution Program, which drove her successively deeper into self-inquiry and her personal practice. She has completed several Baptiste workshops including Art of Assisting and Art of True North Alignment as well as Sagel Urlacher’s Yin Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training.

With a lifelong love for health and nutrition, Diane earned certifications from the Nutritional Therapy Association and the School of Applied Functional Medicine to now guide and support others seeking their most vibrant health. She continues to study and explore many areas of holistic health. She loves being active outdoors and feels most at peace on the beach or in the mountains, but she loves that her yoga practice has helped her to find some of that serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life.
